In your 20s, there will be men who are twice your In your 20s, there will be men who are twice your age who tell you you’re brighter, smarter, better, fitter etc than women their ownage. They’ll make it feel flattering at first, but it’s often a trap. Many of these men want to mold you into whatever servitude suits their desire. They don’t see you as a person, as a human being with light, potential, and love, they see you as someone to control, to use for their own benefit. Honey they are trying to drain your light !!! Many of them will lure you with FAKE promises. Don’t fall for it! There’s nothing that they can give you that you can’t give yourself! Some will even try to pull you into situations that are of no concern to a pretty young thing. Ex-spouses, infidelity, baby mama drama, crime, risky situations, and sometimes even disease. They come to kill, steal, and destroy your youth, and once they’ve drained your light, they’ll move on to the next young girl despite themselves being older than a sack of mouldy potatoes. 🥔 They don’t see you but they see what you can do for them and trust it’s so much more than what you think. Often these kind of men prey on your insecurities and vulnerabilities it’s like they can sniff them a mile away. But PLEASE hold on to yourself! Start a free course, pick up a new hobby - learn a new sport or join a choir just Anythinh to pour back into yourself and learn how beautiful you actually are 🥹💖 You deserve so much more. There are men who will see your potential, honor your heart, and want to build with you. They will respect your life, your dreams, and your light. I wish someone could have told me this in my twenties but I was vulnerable and it was easy to manipulate me, but you can protect yourself. Have the courage to walk away even if he says he loves you, even if he uses your insecurities or honor against you, even if he promises he will change. This is often narcissistic manipulation, control disguised as love. Your light, your life, and your future are worth guarding. You do not owe anyone your peace or your youth. Choose yourself. There’s no point in even trying to compare your life path with next man or woman. Everything you are going through is preparing you for the special purpose that God planned for your life. It was my first time going to New York this year in September and truthfully I was upset about the whole thing. You know why? Because I FELL IN LOVE WITH NEW YORK ON SIGHT! Even before the plane landed, I looked through the window and knew that I would love it! But I was upset because I could have been in New York several times by now. In fact in 2018, the firm I worked with in Canary Wharf London actually offered me a position in their Manhattan office, but I said NO! Why? Coz I was so sure that New York was just like London and I would not like it.🤦🏿‍♀️ I like London - don’t get me wrong, but why would I wanna go somewhere cold and expensive again?! My friends who had been to NY also convinced me that it was just like London - and I believed them. Man how wrong they were! How wrong I was to make up my mind from secondhand evidence. New York is not London, New York is New York! 🥁and I should have given it a chance because I LOVE IT! 😍 I’m not even a city girl btw but it’s something about that city… So all that to say, WHATS FOR YOU IS FOR YOU. It might not be for anyone else but it could be perfect for you. Don’t be like me and base your decisions on what others are doing. Trust that God has a plan for you, even if it looks different to what you thought or what others are doing.
