If you grew up in a high-expectations household (w If you grew up in a high-expectations household (whether it was spoken or silently implied) and you felt the pressure to always perform at your best, then this is for you. When you’re praised for achievement early in life, you can quietly learn that performance equals love. So you keep performing. Striving. Reaching.
