Your trauma doesn’t define your story, you do!✨ 🔅This week we got to see an incredibly brave and courageous woman, one of my healing heroes #CassieVentura go up to testify against her abuser infront of the whole world. Wow 😮 🔆This is one of the hardest things any survivor can do, to stand up against the person that stole so much from you and caused feelings of unworthiness and self blame for many years. But she did it! She showed that it’s possible to confront your fears, to face your trauma and to HEAL from what you thought was impossible. 🔆I tried SO hard to bury my story. I just didn’t think it would help me to remember or to face it. But one day I faced it. I told my story and was set free. 🕊️ That shame never belonged to you in the first place, you deserve to live without it and without fear. 🔆I’m so proud of you for everything you have survived to be here today. You might not feel like it, but you are a CHAMPION!🏆 and I’m gonna keep reminding you of that! Healing is possible❤️‍🩹 Be kind and patient with yourself.
