Happy birthday to me I never imagined that I’d Happy birthday to me I never imagined that I’d grow up to live this age!!! 🙆🏿‍♀️People were dying all around me in 90s Zambia - cousins, aunties, uncles, friends. Never imagined that I’d survive to see this day BUT GOD DID! 🙌🏿Thank you My perfect Holy daddy😭❤️ Last year I was offline healing. I didn’t get to share with you that I spent my birthday attending a prayer conference for the first time in my life. God led me there & met me there. There was healing, restoration and anointing. Prayer works. I see that in my life, my story and even my healing. Who knew that my year of heartbreak would be the beginning of a ministry of healing for wounded hearts in so many different places. I thought I was attending alone but my darling aunty Hatina drove up and brought along my mum and aunties to surprise me. Unfortunately aunty Hatina passed away in July this year. And so whilst I shed a tear for missing her. I celebrate the power of her love & support through my darkness. Even though she’s not here this year I look around at my life and it’s evident that her prayers are still working 🥹🙏🏿 PRAYER NEVER DIES. To baby me - who knew you’d grow up to be the most beautiful, most brave, most badass BOSS babe !!!! 😍🙌🏿 I’m SO proud of you. Surviving abuse, assault, abandonment is already hard but what you have achieved considering what you went through and where you came from is nothing short of remarkable. You don’t need to do anymore striving. You don’t need to earn anyone’s approval, compassion or love. You are more than enough and I’m so sorry for all the years I abandoned you. Thank you for staying close to God and never giving up. You deserve the absolute best and I’m gonna give it to you. I finally can say I LOVE ME! I REALLY REALLY LOVE ME. I pray my story shows you how much God loves and cares for each and every one of his children including you. God really really loves you and he is waiting to reveal his glory in YOUR story. Here’s to life and to having it more ABUNDANTLY! 🤗 GRACIAS A DIOS🙏🏿💞

Why heal if you’re successful? 🤷🏿‍♀️ Why heal if you’re successful? 🤷🏿‍♀️ Does healing really matter? Can you truly be happy if you are not healed? Are you living in your true power if you still carry some wounds from your past? What difference does it make in your life anyway? I attended Woman Evolve for the first time in 2024 I attended Woman Evolve for the first time in 2024 during my year of healing. It was the year I finally came face to face with the wounds of my childhood abuse, and the first time I ever disclosed what happened to me. I had quit everything including social media to focus on healing from wounds I had buried for over 20 years. A few days before Woman Evolve 2024, I confronted my abuser and disclosed to my family what he had done. For the first time ever - I told my story!🥹🙏🏿 So I definitely needed some respite. And Woman Evolve said ‘bet!’ and gave me so much more. It set me free. I had never experienced anything like it before. To be in an environment with almost 40,000 women all gathered together to praise and glorify God was the most uplifting and exhilarating experience I’ve had. Even before I entered the stadium in Dallas, we met some women at the airport who were also going to the event and we all just started singing hymns together in the Airport praising God. It was like a dream. The conference itself was phenomenal. Every speaker seemed to be personally reassuring me that God made me, saw me, never left me and loved me. Tasha Cobbs came on and sang ‘ There is power in the name of Jesus to Break every chain!’ and surely every chain was broken!⛓️‍💥 . By the time we got to the last day, I was filled with encouragement and hope. I finally believed that ‘YES Jesus loves me, me - Metiya.’ Trauma and all. 😭 So of course I was gonna come back in 2025, and I was so excited that I could bring you along this time for a new season. Unfortunately, a few days before I travelled, I got the unexpected news that my beloved Aunty Hatina had passed away. Continued in comments ❤️ #womanevolve25 #healingjourneys
